[Toonie's just a little bit overwhelmed by all the New Feathers here - or, were they? Not all of them had wings - and is hanging out around town trying to make sense of it all. If this many people just appeared, then maybe his friends, too, would...

On the look out for anybody familiar - or anyone with pointed ears for that matter - he scans the area with his arms crossed and his brow furrowed.

...He really hopes he'll get to see Grandma and Aryll, that's for sure. Tetra would be nice too.]

There's another one? Geeze.

[Well, at least I'm not the Hero of Time. I wonder what they say I am the hero of, huh.]

[His thoughts are interrupted when Toonie draws the oh so familiar blade from his back, eyes drawn to it like a magnet.]

Yes, her spirit as a name. She goes by Fi.

[He says it tentatively, half hoping she'll show herself if he says her name, as if he'll summon her, but from the condition of the sword - much duller than he remembered - he doesn't think it likely.]

[His eyes go wide as he turns the sword in his hands.] No way... I knew it was special, but - I didn't know somebody lived in it! How come I never got to meet her...?

When I'm from, I defeated a great evil, a god called Demise, and the last bits of him were absorbed into the sword to be purified.

[He reaches out a hand as if to touch the blade, but thinks the better of it and drops it back in his lap.]

I think, maybe, she can't talk anymore because of that.

[And it's my fault...]

Really?

[He looks at him, then at the Master Sword, then back to him. He notices his sadness, so he gives him a little smile and offers the sword to him.]

...You can hold it if you want. I'm sure she'd like to see you again, even if she can't talk.

[A bit of pink spreads on Link's cheeks.]

Ah, is it that obvious? I'm sorry.

[But still he takes the sword carefully, almost lovingly. He hops to his feet and swings it a few times experimentally, left and right as the drill instructor taught him, and raises it high above his head. A brief shine goes up the blade and an arc of pure energy is released for a brief distance, angled away from Toonie or any other objects or people of course. With a small sigh, Link brings the sword in close again, looking at it as one would an old friend, then hands it back to his younger incarnation just as carefully as he took it.]

Whoa!!

[He freezes, staring at the older Link, before slowly taking back the sword.]

W-Wow... how'd you do that!? I didn't know it - she - could do that!!

What, that? That's a skyward strike! Fi taught it to me to help me out. If you want I can show you. You can do all kinds of things with it, like get items from special walls and cubes and draw on things sometimes. It helps defeat enemies at a distance too, or if they have heavy armor. You can even activate special switches with it!

That's... [He suddenly pouts, whiny and indignant.] That's not fair! Nobody told me I could do that! That would have been really really helpful...!

[Then he looks intensely at the other hero.]

You've gotta teach me! Us Links, we've gotta help each other out, right!? Right!?

[Toonie's vehemence took Skyward aback a bit.] Guh.. uh.. sure! Of course! I mean, we're basically the same, right?

[Right, save for the outcome of his battle had led to Fi being unable to help his descendants. It's entirely possible that Toonie's trouble with this Ganondorf could be because of Demise's curse, as well.

What if it is my fault?

He swallowed, hoping the younger Link didn't see the guilt that began to weigh heavily on his shoulders.]

Maybe! At least, we're probably family, and family's always gotta help each other out! [Grin!] And maybe I can teach you something in return!

[He's not noticing because he's too busy being all YAY MORE FAMILY MEMBERS!! He's always been big on considering the other Links like family - especially since he misses his own so much here - plus he's over the moon knowing that there are others who know what he's gone through.]

[The little Link's enthusiasm is contagious so Skyward has little difficulty pushing his guilt away for now and grinning at his counterpart.] Oh yeah? Like what?

Like, um... [Ding! He runs a few yards off. He waves his sword in the air to get his attention.]

Like this! [With that, he holds the blude out, channeling a yellow energy into it with intense concentration. Then, when he knows the area is clear, he releases it -- ]

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!

[ -- and performs a Hurricane Spin. When it's over, he lands dizzly on his bottom and tries to get his bearings straight. When he does, he grins with pride.]

Yeah, very cool!

[He wasn't going to share with his descendant that he could do that too and ruin the moment. He's just so proud! Can't help but tease a little though. The bigger Link goes over and helps his smaller incarnation to his feet.]

A little shaky on the dismount there though. [He grins playfully at Toonie.]

[Laughs nervously.] Yeah... I never learned how to not get dizzy from it. But if there's lots of monsters surrounding you it sends all of them flying! It's really neat!

Death is bad! D: Don't die! *sends a fairy just in case*

So what's it like living on an ocean? I've only seen one once but not a lot of it. Is the Great Sea past Lanayru?

I've never heard of Lanayru, so I dunno. But I like living on the ocean! I live on a small island called Outset, and it's really nice there. But the best part is when you're out on the ocean in a boat - sailing is so much fun! You get to always feel the wind in your face and watch the seagulls, and when the sun sets it makes the water all shiny and stuff! And then when it's nighttime, you can lay in your boat and look at the stars 'til you go to sleep.

Ah, yeah, I sailed a little bit. It was nice. [Even if the view wasn't very far. I wish the time stone on the boat had a wider range.] I didn't get to see the sun set out there though. The best sunset I ever saw was over Eldin volcano. There were colors in it that I didn't even know the sky could turn.

Wow, that must have been cool! Volcanoes are neat, but they're really hot and sometimes ash gets in your eyes and it hurts a bunch.

Ugh, I know! I had to slide down this big hill and ash and sand kept getting in my eyes the whole time! My mouth too. I got these earrings from completing a trial that made it not quite as hot. Well, everything except the lava hands and the big ball of fire trying to eat me.
